Redundant bus stops to be removed.

The Thane City's government has 'assured' only on being asked by Pudhari that redundant bus stands, all steel and provision for advertising, hardly offering any shelter to passengers - would be removed. These stands have no purpose since TMT has ceased operating buses on some routes, Pudhari said today.

In many parts, these have turned out to be an additional hurdle to pedestrians who are troubled by hawkers who have occupied footpaths.
